Newsday launched on 13 June 2011. A rolling service, it initially broadcast between 0100 and 0500 (UK time) from Monday to Friday, replacing the previous overnight UK simulcast of BBC World News and the BBC News Channel. As well as an overnight service for the UK, it acts as a breakfast service for East Asia audiences, and a late-evening service for the US and Canada. From 18 June 2012, Newsday was shortened to three hours in duration, between 2300 and 0200 (Sunday to Thursday, UK time).
Main presenters are Babita Sharma and Kasia Madera; with Rico Hizon and Sharanjit Leyl (business) and Matt Gooderick (sport). Newsday is shown between :00 and :30, Asia Business Report between :30 and :45, and Sport Today between :45 and :00.
