BBC London News (referred to onscreen as BBC London) is the BBC’s regional television news programme for the English region encompassing London and surrounding suburbs. The programme launched on 1 October 2001 after a major reorganisation of the BBC’s South East region, with the London area splitting away to form its own separate region.
The new BBC London region was launched on 1 October 2001.
On 1 March 2004, the titles, endboard and other on-screen graphics were changed to 'BBC LONDON'.
BBC London News introduced a new set and new graphics on 12 December 2005.
BBC London changed its titles and graphics on 21 April 2008, coinciding with the relaunch of BBC News.
A refresh for BBC London News on 10 June 2013, as the programme moved to a new studio and updated its titles.
