BBC Look East is the regional news programme covering the East of England. Since 1997, the region has also been sub-divided in a way which mirrored the broadcasting areas of Anglia TV — the east of the region covering Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex; and the west of the region covering Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, north Hertfordshire and north Buckinghamshire. For around 10 minutes, the main 6.30pm programme splits for these areas for more localised news, in a section previously known as ‘Close Up’. The late bulletin is fully split. Since 2003, the home of BBC Look East has been at The Forum, in the centre of Norwich, after nearly 45 years broadcasting from St Catherine’s Close.
