BBC Northern Ireland marked the centenary of the launch and subsequent sinking of HMS Titanic in April 1912. The liner was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, and Irish passengers and crew comprised many of the casualties of the disaster. As well as several network programmes produced by BBC Northern Ireland, additional local programming was broadcast on the local services of BBC1 and BBC2. Special presentation was created to accompany all Titanic-related programming.

Both idents continue to be used by BBC Northern Ireland, after the Titanic season.
