North Tonight: 2006-2009

On 24 July 2006, shortly following the rebranding of Grampian to STV (North) on 30 May, a new look to the news bulletins was also unveiled. The set and graphics were identical to those introduced in the former Scottish region, now STV (Central).

From 8 January 2007 onwards, opts were introduced mid-way for Fife/Perthshire/Angus from Dundee, and for the Highlands/Islands and the North East from Aberdeen. From March 2008, weather provision was switched to the Met Office, and Sean Batty became the in-vision weather presenter (Jo Farrow as relief).
