Scottish Television: 1993-2000

Scottish Television (now legally known as STV Central Ltd and referred to on-air as STV) is Scotland’s largest ITV franchisee, and has held the ITV franchise for Central Scotland since 31 August 1957. It is the second oldest ITV franchisee still active (Granada Television being the oldest).

Main ident
A new look for Scottish Television was introduced on New Years Day 1993. It was used until October 1996.

Main ident
The last new ident to feature the thistle symbol, was introduced on 6 October 1996. This familiar symbol was retired in early 2000.
